Adopt Centex Kids

Carissa Villacorta and Annaliza Martinez, will launch a campaign with AF USA to "adopt" CENTEX kids. They were moved by the story of Marianette Amper, the 12-year-old girl who killed herself because of poverty in Barangay Ma-a, Davao City. Her death attracted national attention after her diary showed that she was deeply affected by her family's extreme poverty.

Carrisa said, “We would like to find 30 young professional donors to sponsor the incoming Grade 1 students.”

"Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education (CENTEX) provides elementary students of public schools with quality education at par with private schools. CENTEX seeks assistance to build up funds to maintain the school as well as replicate the best practice in other areas of the Philippines." For more info about CENTEX, visit www.centex.org.ph. Details of the Adopt CENTEX Kids Project to follow.
