Students from Dumangas NHS in computer laboratory

Thank You from the Schools

“We are truly grateful for the generosity of your hearts in giving us the privilege of enjoying this technology,” said Isabelle B. Sanchez, Head of the English/Computer Department of Pasig City Science High School.

“Thanks to you and to the internet, our teachers are giving us the feedback that it's much easier and certainly a lot better to teach. The internet has made their teaching experiences richer, because of the virtually unlimited access to information they have now -- unlike when they were limited to just our textbooks and printed references. This technology is really amazing, as it applies to all disciplines/subject areas,” she reported.

“As of today, not only the Computer Department is benefiting from the internet access you've given us. The Science Department uses internet to collate information for their investigatory projects in preparation for the Regional Science Fair which our school is hosting this November.

The Social Studies Department is also completing their researches for the Project Citizen by downloading the latest news all over the Philippines and from different parts of the world. The Math Department utilizes internet connection for searching for special Math problems for advanced learners. Likewise, the English Department takes advantage of the internet connection you have provided us by using it to look for rare literary pieces discussed in class.”

School Head of Caraga Regional Science HS, Ms. Matilde J. Manliguis, said,Now that we are implementing the
E-learning, it is really wonderful to see the students browsing the Internet and they learn a lot. With ICT as a tool for instruction it makes learning for comprehensive, more interesting and easy to understand. Students would no longer copy as what we did in the traditional methods, but instead click on the website where they are interested and there, they will have what they need. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO GILAS.”

“Our instruction as well as the trainings is even extended to the elementary schools. The Elementary Science Class pupils did their lessons with ICT integration in our school,” he said.
