As you think about your year-end charitable contributions to avail of 2007 tax benefits, please keep Ayala Foundation USA GILAS Project in mind. The GILAS New York Tri-State Team would like to raise $6,500 to provide a PC Lab, internet connectivity and teacher training to a public high school in the Philippines. Every Filipino High School should have Internet access and that is our ultimate goal. For our 2007 year-end campaign, we picked Toboy National High School in Asingan, Pangasinan. The local government in Asingan will match the funds raised in this campaign. Asingans from the US and Canada are joining us in supporting the campaign.
GILAS offers Filipino public high school students experience and opportunities to access educational resources available on the Internet. Philippine senators, congressmen, governors and mayors have matched funds raised by the private sector to accelerate the reach and benefits of the program.
