We all know the pluses of trees in our environment: they're beautiful. They produce fruits and they eat carbon out of the air. You can also strategically plan trees to maximize efficiency for the heating and cooling of your home.

In fact, if one million people planted a tree in their yard, 1.33 million tons of CO2 would be absorbed over the tree's life. That's one ton of CO2 per tree!

Having trees also means maintaining them. Once a tree's life has expired, it actually emits CO2 back into the air, so it is best to cut it down and salvage it for lumber or bury in a landfill. You could even mulch it then bury it under your land to give back nutrients to the soil. READ MORE...
